Five PWC earned MYWA all-state honors led by state champion Angelo Latora. Latora dominated a 32 man bracket to win the 93-95 122# tille.

Breyden Bailey placed third in the 98-99 59# class.

Matthew Heaps placed sixth in the 98-99 71# class.

Jacob Heaps took second place in the 96-97 80# class.

Eric VanDeWalker finished sixth in the 93-95 195# class.

March 16th, 2008

The Portage Wrestling Club had 17 wrestlers place in the tough Southwest Regional t Portage Central. The SW Regional was the largest in the state with over 750 wrestlers. These wrestlers qualify for the MYWA State Championships on 3/29-3/30 at Michigan Sate University.

Portage had wrestlers competing in the Gobles open and Brandywine Novice tournaments this past Sunday.

PWC had two wrestlers place at the Spartan Country Tournament which is considered the "Super Bowl of Michigan Wrestling". Angelo Latora took first in the 93-95 130# weight class and Breyden Bailey placed 6th at 98-99 59#.

Practice will start at 6 pm on Tuesday, November 27 at Portage Central HS. We will be accepting registrations on 11/27 and 11/29.
